The Caravan Club offer travel insurance and overseas holiday insurance that is exclusively designed to help members get complete protection while they are travelling on the continent. Caravan Club travel insurance is also available in different sectors with each category geared for different scenarios, meaning whatever cover you need, it will most likely be on offer for an additional fee.
For instance, if you are planning to travel to worldwide destinations within the year, the company offer the worldwide single trip package (maximum 120 days) as well as an annual multi trip option (maximum 60 days). The single trip option is known to be designed with caravanners in mind as the policy covers both the motoring and personal needs of a continental caravanning holiday when you travel to Europe once a year. With this kind of policy, cover is generally available for up to 122 days.
The annual multi trip is a policy that caters for the needs of people who travel to Europe more than once a year, but for no more than 66 days at a time. The cover also stretches to protect both the motoring and personal needs of the holiday. With caravan club travel insurance there is also a long stay option available. This policy primarily protects motoring and personal needs for any caravan holiday and is available for people who travel to Europe for extended periods. With this option, cover will be available to you for up to 185 days in a 12 month period, taken as a single or number of trips.
If you are struggling to decide which option is right for you – simply bear the following in mind. If all your journeys will see you using your vehicle as the main mode of transport, simply look into the motoring and personal package first. Alternatively, if your trips will include holidays where the main means of transport is by rail or air for instance then it is advised that you take motoring cover as well as a separate personal cover option.
